We had a really great presentation January when Fernando Nosratpour | Associate Curator Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography UC San Diego gave a very interesting presentation on “SECORE Coral Reproduction Workshop: Applying workshop techniques to efforts at Birch Aquarium at Scripps”. We all learned alot about what it takes to catch the eggs at the exact time of release and the 2-3 days of non-stop steps after.
This month we will be having a socializing hour and members sharing there tanks Via a power point type presentation on the big screen. It will a fun relaxed meeting just getting to know our fellow reefers.
Next month we will have a full plate between SD Corals doing at Frag 101 and then the Behind the scenes tour of Birch Aquarium, still have open slots for the tour!
See you at next meeting!
